Healthy Living Lessons

We offer a weekly health, fitness and safety course running 1 hour per week for either a 6 or 12-week period

We Have The Ability to Customize

The course covers many areas taking the children from understanding our bodies need food, water, oxygen and rest to stay healthy, the need for exercise and how to stay safe within the home by spotting risks as well as learning basic first aid

All the areas can be customized to fit the needs and the ability of the children within the class.

Variety of teaching styles

We understand that younger age groups enjoy to learn in many different ways, with this in mind the course has been designed to use as many learning styles as possible from the use of power point presentation, fun hands on learning, and exciting experiments where the children can collate and analyze data

Curriculum based

The course has been developed around the national curriculum specifically around PHSE, English Science and Math

  • Healthy eating “the eat well plate”

  • How our bodies use energy

  • The effects of Physical Activity on our bodies

  • Personal hygiene

  • How to stay safe and recognize risk around the home

  • Basic First Aid

Testing :heart rate, oxygen saturation, body temperature and blood sugars

Measuring daily activity and the fat, salt and proteins within healthy foods and fast food
